Principal Technical Consultant – Cabling

The role:  
eHealth Infrastructure Technology Solutions requires a skilled and experienced Cabling Infrastructure designer (RCDD) to manage, assess and / or undertake, the design, planning and implementation of ICT physical infrastructure solutions to support the delivery of eHealth and Hospital and Health Services (HHS), ensuring alignment with all applicable standards and best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.

You will:

  • Specify and design or review complex ICT physical infrastructure solutions;
  • Collaborate with other SMEs to recommend the strategy of how to migrate Queensland Health facilities to proposed solutions;
  • Document the design standards, methods, and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures effective application;
  • Manage and mentor a small team of ICT staff working on ICT infrastructure and delivery across the state; and
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of your technical specialism and provide expert advice regarding their application. Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation planning of complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.

We are seeking a pro-active, results driven, energetic Account Manager, with previous experience in the installation and/or sales of Structured Cabling Systems.

You Will Make an Impact

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for the sales of Enterprise infrastructure products in the assigned territory. This includes the creation of new business opportunities, as well as maintaining existing relationships. Understanding the customers’ business, technology and product requirements and appropriately matching solutions to meet customer needs is key in this role to succeed. As is influencing purchase decisions, performing revenue and demand forecasting in the relevant CRM system, account planning, project planning and handling internal and external customer relationships.

This role reports into the Senior Sales Director for ANZ and is based in our Melbourne (Mount Waverley) office.

Qualifications

It is an advantage for the successful candidate to possess professional qualifications in a relevant field such as Communication Engineering, Business or similar and possess the following:

  • Technical experience in either communications and/or associated industries.
  • Well versed in account and project planning
  • Results focused with the ability to motivate and influence others as well as build trust and respect
  • Proven track record to manage multiple, concurrent tasks which have competing demands, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risk
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Strong team player capable of working cross-functionally with other teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex issues
